Hello. I need to know how Mazak VTC series atc tool changing systems works. If anybody knows please explain.

Yes I saw an operation.I am an intern stuent and I am working on a project. We have a VTC in our work. I also looked the catalog but it does'nt explain working system.
I need to know how handle takes one tool and drops other. The problem is I cant understand how handle takes a new tool and holds it?

If you know about it please contact me.

I know in principle how they work, but not in specifics. It sounds like you are more interested in the specifics.

Here are some videos [1] and [2] showing you tool changing on a other type of machine the process would be very similar.

There an air controlled mechanism that locks the tool into the tapered collet.
