What is the direction of movement of the balloon relative to the direction of the bus? View All
You get into a bus and sit down behind a small, sticky child, who is holding a Helium filled balloon by a length of string.

The bus starts off and accelerates smoothly along the road. To your amazement as the bus accelerates the balloon moves in the opposite direction that you had anticipated.
What is the direction of movement of the balloon relative to the direction of the bus?
