I am a computer information and electronic student.How do I fit in a company that manufacture cars?? View All
Do I have to know about car in order for me to apply my knowledge of computer engineering??I got a scholarship from a car manufacturing company and since it is pretty hard to get job over here, i hope to work in that particular company. But i just dont see how my knowledge is related with what the company needs..

Now the automotive sector is becoming quiet dependent to computers for their product enhancement. "Horse power is good but processing power is better" is now the buzz word of the auto sector.
Many giants of Detriot are extensively using electronic chip to enhance various features of a car. BMW uses chips from Free scale Sem to monitor the fuel flow to detect the collision meter & to man over the way before a driver actually reaches so as to avoid accident & busy traffic with the help of GPS system.Many of the car manufactures use these chip designed to improve the fuel efficiency so that unnecessary fuel burnt is cut when the vehicle actually doesn't need it.
Now the production lines are also getting automated to reduce the manufacturing cost & delay in the production lines & to maintain a tight delivery schedule.So this automation need computers taking over men as the logical thinkers of the production lines.
