Wireless transmission of power over long distances occurs every day. The energy from the Sun is wireless power.

Studies by NASA in the US has demonstrated the Feasibility building systems to transmit power over long distances with microwaves and lasers [ref 1].

Matter of fact in 1964 William C. Brown built a demonstration system to power a small helicopter using microwave power [ref 2]

Now making the systems necessary to transmit this energy practical, safe, and cost effective, that is an entirely different issue.
