In a word - excellent. Robotics is growing extremely fast in the manufacturing, auto and aerospace industries. Here is some more info for you...

Robotics technicians install, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair robots and automated production systems. They have to have a solid grap of computers, electrical and electronic systems, sensor and feedback principles, as well as how robots work as machines. Typical duties include developing, testing, programming, and actual on-site installation of new robots, as well as their maintenance.

They analyze equipment problems and troubleshoot electrical components and systems, as well as service and repair both hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

To add to Dougie's answer, the other big application is in the field of mining. Mining disasters claim many lives, especially underground mines. Accidents are due to methane explosions, rock falls etc. Underground mining machines are usually air-driven or electrical. Therefore, using robots for inspection purposes, as well as full-on mining itself, is a very promising field. It may however involve the robotics expert going underground to inspect and repair faulty equipment, but this would usually be within safe areas of the mine.
