Hi
the computer motherboard or sometimes called the main board is a board where you plug all your hardware devices. this includes the CPU (central processing unit) the RAMs (random access memory) the hard disk,CD and DVD players, floppy drives, modems, sound crads,... The motherboard also transfers the information between these devices, and this happens through the copper wires on the board that are usually in green o blue

you can use a computer without CD drive or a hard disk ( providing you are connected to a network ) but you can't use a computer without a motherboard

if you have any other questions about anything i'll be glad to answer
