Kick off meeting happens. In short. After I spent 5 hours of waiting in front of german embassy in Sarajevo center because of my Schengen Visa application (standard procedure in my country). I arrived just half an hour before scheduled Kick off meeting. Technical director, and my indirect boss dr. Bischoff openned meeting. We agreed to constitute project team out of people from following departments:
- Production (in same time me as project manager)
- Technical department (Infrastructure)
- Maintenance (of machines)
- Finance department
- Logistic (transport and supply departments), and last but not least
- Quality assurance department
All deaprtment heads in unison required that themselves and people from their department travel to Germany on some sort of the training. However I insisted that this training, although it's a good idea, must be followed by appropriate training matrix, which will allow us to follow on acquired knowledge of employees.
We also discussed present layout and agreed that we need to meet up next day on the spot of Area 3 and 3D, and coresponding basement in order to discuss positioning of machines. Issue that arise now is regarding coolant tank and metal chip conveyor position that is placed in basement under the production line. This position is in the center of outgoing material warehouse. Metal chips and coolant can be very aggressive towards their enviroment (I have a very nice polo T-Shirt, 60EUR price, that can confirm this claim). So I will have to plan position of the line with regards to this warehouse in addition to eventual constraints regarding weight of machines and material flow.
