Why are you interested in an engineering career: |
I was working as a waiter for a few years and didn't see a future in where I was going in my life. After talking to various people, I started studying university mathematics by correspondence, which eventually led to a degree in electrical engineering at university in Durban. The main reason for choosing it was due to the great shortage of engineers in our country as well as an interest in the area of electrical and electronic engineering. |
|
What is the biggest engineering challenge currently facing your country: |
There are several: Firstly, providing basic infrastructure for people in our country, many of whom live in extreme poverty. Secondly, preparing for the 2010 Soccer World Cup is a huge challenge. |
