Why are you interested in an engineering career:
Unless you've been living on a different planet for the past 10 years, you'd know that India is well on it's way to becoming a global superpower. The only country with a higher economic growth rate is China,so I guess it would be pretty safe to call this the 'Asian Age'. This age is going to see a surge in the demand for engineer's and I plan to be a part of this new age,to be an active part of it.

What is the biggest engineering challenge currently facing your country:
I guess the biggest engineering challenge my country faces today lies in it's infrastructure. Roads, railways , dams, communication and most importantly power .India's economy is growing at a mindnumbing 9% a year we have the potential to achiever a much higher growth, yet our infrastructure holds us back. A case in point: The Indian mobile phone market is the fastest growing in the world (at about 20%). However our telecomm infrastructure can't keep up (it's growing at 12 % a year...respectable, yet not enough.)
