| Job Description: |
Our client is a leading manufacturer of residential and commercial doors. They are a well established company that has been serving their clients for more than 35 years. They are looking for an Industrial Engineer with 10 years or more of professional experience. Please see blow for specific requirements.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage any projects involving new equipment design, installation, movement, retrofitting and/or modification.
Troubleshoot problems with manufacturing processes and provide and implement solutions/improvements.
Assist with the development of labour standards, as well as equipment utilization and efficiency targets.
A key contributor to continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing processes and procedures.
Involvement in the development and implementation of cost and inventory reduction activities.
Address any systemic quality issues that are resulting from the manufacturing process including those that may arise from material handling, shipping, assembly etc.
Reduce and remove non value added time that is present in the manufacturing process.
Lead, manage and develop a multi skilled maintenance department including, both mechanical and electrical technicians.
Implement preventative and predictive maintenance practices where practical and beneficial.
Participate in the design and development of new products to ensure design for manufacturability is a focus.
